1) Treat With Honey
A spoonful of honey is said to effectively calm a persistent cough than over-the-counter medicines. It is an age-old dry cough home remedy that works wonders because of its analgesic properties. You may also add black pepper and cinnamon sticks to the mixture. Simply boil the mixture for 3-4 minutes and drink this twice per day. You can also add honey to the mixture for added benefits. A lot of people prefer drinking warm milk with little turmeric added to it for treating dry cough.

It is best known for stopping the tickle at your throat’s back. Even peppermint has a similar effect on the throat. You would need three tablespoons of chopped ginger and one tablespoon on peppermint added to 4-5 cups of water. Let the mixture boil and bring it to simmer. Once the mixture cools down, add a cup of honey to it. Once the mixture is ready, store it properly. Take one tablespoon of mixture each day and see the difference.
